It absolutely is internet hype. Some Kimbers may have issues, same as any other brand X Y Z. I do know the Kimpro finish is awful so I just stay away from those. And I'm not paying $2K for a Kimber, at that price I'm going Ed Brown, Nighthawk, Baer, etc.

Nice one! I had made mention of officer's models earlier...great for concealment but sometimes are picky on ammo and need some tuning/tweaking...


Your Kimber officer probably wasn't picky bc it was a Kimber. Officer 1911s are known to be finicky. I've had 3. The V10, a Para Expert Carry, and the ECO. The ECO was the only one to run right, 100 percent. I did have a Kimber Tactical Ultra but I can't comment on it since I never shot it...
