Probably have to resort to local shops inventory and keep searching online you’re right it’s bare everywhere.

And it’s weird that powder is still available this time around. Last scare, nothing was available.
My go to bullet (Rocky Mountain reloading (RMR)) allows backorders but says to expect a 6-8 week wait.
Xtreme bullets has stuff available but the prices have increased, and I prefer FMJ over copper plated.
I have not done any reloading for a while because I could buy it cheaper if factoring in my time.
Damn it, I should have placed some orders as soon as ammo started drying up.

I still think a part of this is supply shortage, just like firearms & parts. Federal Premium is based in Virginia & Minnesota, both states that shut down manufacturing completely. Hodgdon is in Kansas, which shut down all manufacturing (which is why CZ pistols are hard to find right now. Same with Dan Wesson since they're based in NY)/ 2 or 3 of the biggest primer manufacturers are in Brazil which shutdown a bunch of stuff. Same with a number of large primer & powder manufacturers in Canada, shut down for Covid.
But hodgdon hp38, cfe pistol, and others are in stock everywhere. Maybe its stuff that was already stocked but just hasn’t been bought yet.

That's what I'm thinking. There's enough supply chain disruption in all industries that shortages are going to be weird. It could be that Hodgdon had a bunch of powder manufactured that didn't get shipped out before the shutdown so it went out as soon as there was a partial reopening, Stuff like that. My hunch is weird shortages are going to show up randomly in all industries for a while.
Especially when you add in panic buys like going on in the gun industry right now. Products can get weirdly out of balance pretty easily.
Just ordered 8lbs of cfe pistol. I use it for 147 subsonic 9mm.
small primers have been in short supply , some even the local reloading shops have been telling me they get calls from across the country looking for them
