Primers, where are they

I scored 5000 federal small pistol primers from powder valley last night.
4.2 cents per primer after shipping and hazmat. It’s been a long time since I ordered any but that seems to be normal pricing, not panic pricing.
I found them using ammoseek.

Primers are gone because most are being held back for completing finished ammo. Secondly the actual pyrotechnic chemicals involved only come from China so there’s a strain there. Then after primers do finally make it to a sale outlet people have programmed bots to watch different websites like natchez and midway and as soon as they come back in stock it buys it within a millisecond and then they either hoard them or sell the on gunbroker for an obscene profit.
