M1 Garand. What's it worth?

Got a trade offer for a sweet looking Garand. All Springfield. Guy is going to be sending me some more pictures, but I'm thinking this thing looks pretty sweet.


We got any Garand experts here?

The guy is a retired Marine Gunnery Sergeant. He says that is a USMC coin given to him by his men when he retired.

DEFINITELY re-parked. Post WW2 trigger.

Right now I'd say around $900 in the open market. The stock is very pretty....that's a wild card. Unless it's got some special parts it's just a re-parked standard SA until I can see an S/N.

He wants my Desert Eagle for it which if we are being honest is probably about an 800-1000 dollar gun, at least in my opinion.

As long as the Garand shoots and he is a vet I would do it....but that's me. A good working beat up Garand is a $750 minimum; that one is nice and pretty.

That's funny. He told me, "I'm not going to bullshit you. This is a Marines rifle from a Marines home." I think I am going to do it. Just waiting for a bit more information before pulling the trigger. I have always wanted a Garand.
