Doesn't it get ridiculous at some point though?no
get those negative thoughts out of your head and buy a pallet jack so you can buy and move more ammo
Doesn't it get ridiculous at some point though?
That's probably about right. I'm sure I have waaay less than some guys on here, NWS would laugh at what I thought was a "lot" for sure, but it's getting close to where I'm less enthused about buying it.When you have to think about it...

ya for real. no negative interest rate applied to ammuitionTheoretically, yes. But I'm not there yet, so can't say for sure.
Ammo, stored correctly, should last for several decades at least. I can't think of many things that have gone down in price in that time frame (excluding buggy whips and telegrams). Consider it an investment. And as a plus, it's more useful than a savings account.
buy silver instead, its at a decent priceThat's probably about right. I'm sure I have waaay less than some guys on here, NWS would laugh at what I thought was a "lot" for sure, but it's getting close to where I'm less enthused about buying it.
That was a very real concern until I split it up.not unless your floor caves in
Ha, well thanks to you I've been buying silver too!buy silver instead, its at a decent price
i switch between silver, firearms, ammo, and tools depending on price, my needs, and wants
Ideally I'd like to be able to survive a long term ammo drought like we're seeing in reasonably priced rimfire now. 2-3k/per caliber won't get me there.I think a minimum of at least 2-3k per gun is a good goal. Anything over that is just a smart idea.
lol, yeah when I first got married I had a 10/22, maybe 200 rounds and a Ruger P89 with maybe 150 rounds. That seemed like a lot at the time.I used to own one rifle, one handgun, one shotgun, and a box or two for each. Seems crazy to me now that that's all I had.
How many calibers do you currently stock?I wish I could have 10k of each caliber I own...but right now it's a matter of balancing preparedness with upcoming school bills.
