Well the ammo shortage is here and I do not want to sit around and waste all the training time I have put into it. Actually I have been shooting daily and loving it. Decided to get a good fast action competition pistol. Had a hard deciding between the CP88 and the 1911A1 both which are the main pistols used in IRON PLATE SHOOTING along with the smith.. My powder range card expired, but may just renew it when this pistol arrives.

Ps another get fast action shooter for IPAS is the http://www.pyramydair.com/s/m/Smith_Wesson_686_6_inch_Revolver/118

Thanks Guys, I hope you understand my interest in getting other powder burners into this sport especially now that it is so hard and financially difficult to afford ammo. I had a friend years ago introduce me into the sport and now very thankful and hope maybe I can pass on the favor to someone else. I know that some powder burners do not always appreciate hearing about air guns. Likewise, some airgunners on my airgun forum get ticked off hearing that I do this. They feel threatened that many powders will infiltrate their sport causing air gun prices to go up. Sheesh! I like having friends on both sides of the fence! The more the Merrier!

Good shooting!

Wow, Happy days are here again! :) Received the new CP88 and was just overwhelmed at the quality of this Pellet Pistol! The Germans really know how to do it right. This gun is a real shooter! The craftsmanship and trigger are great. You can really see the quality. I redid my indoor/garage backstop. I will post pics later. This pistol feels so real and is every bit as fun to shoot as any of my 22.cal Powder burners. Now I can just go into the garage to have my own pistol range and fulfill my JUNKIE FIX FOR TRIGGER TIME! . This pistol is a little loud for outside, so I may just renew my range card membership that expired. And cheap shooting. I can get four tins of 500 ea pellets for about $20.00. 2,000 rds. It cost about $.50 for a co2 cartridge that last for about 60 shots. Cheap shooting all day.
Yes, I wish the ammo shortage did not happen, but can honestly say that I'm beginning to not really miss it. The next pistol I want is the Tanfogio 1911 blowback, which is getting get reviews from all my airgun buddies. Here is a video of that gun and note that the Paul Cappela say's it is one of his top 10 airguns.

I'm with ya Dave! Just bought another myself. I do the airsoft 6mm plastic bb guns utilizing propane instead of co2. It's cheaper ammo, gas and I can shoot indoors, though the smell gets a bit much so I change to odorless green topgas sometime. My KJW M1911A1 is a perfect replica and with enhanced recoil and hammer Springs it snaps back to battery like the real deal. I can shoot everyday, and I do. 5000 bb pack for $12, green Coleman mini propane tank for a few and I'm a happy man for weeks! Lol

Got over 500 rounds throgh my Crossman Pumpmaster. My favorite is still shooting the 1/4 inch stick out of a tree stump. It hard to see but there is a stick sticking up from the stump to the left or the barrell. This is sitting on my deck at the Mohican River this past weekend.

Now that looks like a fun day. A really nice way to relax and have fun. Thanks for sharing.

PS I see the coffee cup with the big Bill on it. Is that a reminder of how much money you are saving? :D

You bet, actually that cup was givin to me by my wife. I would alway say I feel like a brand new hundred bill when I got up and walked out on the deck in the mornings at the river, so she seen that mug and got it for me. But $5.92 for 500 pellets sure did save me some money. I did notice my aim getting better on my hand guns since I have been shooting that pump master. Sure shooting an air gun isn't the same but I sure do enjoy it.
