Anybody want him before we call the pound? He showed up on the porch yesterday and won't leave. Pretty happy and intent, no verbal command training (that I can tell). Friendly with the other dogs on the property. View attachment 142862

Look around for some German Shepherd rescue groups, he looks like a pure breed, so a very desirable dog to many people who are looking for German Shepherd, and quick Google search should help you find people who want that type of dog. I don't know where you live, but don't take him to a high kill shelter. Throw some old blankets on the deck and he should be fine even with the cold weather.

Hate it for you.

Water and termites are a homeowner's worst nightmare. If in doubt, call the insurance company.

Yeah, she already filed a claim. There's going to be about 600 sq ft of new flooring, probably same in sheetrock, and some new ceiling tiles. And the plumbing repair. At a minimum.

And i lost my pen somewhere between corpus christi and here today.

It was just a cheapy, but i hate losing things.
Same here. I lost two houses, a wife and a shitload of in-laws last year, but somehow it didn’t bother me as much as losing a girlfriend last week.

Must be the ‘Rona.

The art of losing isn’t hard to master;
so many things seem filled with the intent
to be lost that their loss is no disaster.

Lose something every day. Accept the fluster
of lost door keys, the hour badly spent.
The art of losing isn’t hard to master.

Then practice losing farther, losing faster:
places, and names, and where it was you meant
to travel. None of these will bring disaster.

I lost my mother’s watch. And look! my last, or
next-to-last, of three loved houses went.
The art of losing isn’t hard to master.

I lost two cities, lovely ones. And, vaster,
some realms I owned, two rivers, a continent.
I miss them, but it wasn’t a disaster.

—Even losing you (the joking voice, a gesture
I love) I shan’t have lied. It’s evident
the art of losing’s not too hard to master
though it may look like (Write it!) like disaster.

Damn.
That’s deep.

Well done.
