Family gave me an induction hot plate about a week ago... tonight i found out that we don't have a single magnetic pan other than the cast iron.

Oh well.

That happened to me.

I bought a new set for the camper that is induction compatible.

I’m a believer. It gets to cooking temperature right effin now. Quicker than gas.

I really wanted to try it before we (freaking hopefully) replace the kitchen cooktop/island counter this Christmas. I've got some nice pans, but apparently they're all aluminum or non-magnetic stainless.

So, gas cooktop or induction and new pots/pans.

Buy a single pan. Try it out. If you don’t like it, then gas is it.

My uncle drunk bought a commercial induction 1 eye with digital controls to cook peanuts.
He spent $600 on that thing.
The eye is recessed about ¼" and his peanut cooker is ½" bigger in diameter so it just hovered over the eye and wouldn't active it.
He evidently can't find a smaller diameter peanut cooking pot without going down to a 10 gallon cooker and that thing just sits in the corner.

Don't drink and Ebay
Read specs before you buy. LoLzzzz

I'm guilty of a few drunk buys... but not quite that bad.

I built a bunch of shit for a dude that drunk bought a CAR on ebay. It was some sort of prototype. Really cool, that was way back in Nextel days, so no photos. The exhaust pipes ran down the outside, similar to a motorsickle. He also drunk burnt his legs getting in and out of it lmaooo
