Atlantic Firearms sent out an email with some VZ-58s this morning. I’ve been czeching those out for a couple of years now. Thoughts on em?

The 5.56 calls to me but I am saving for other things at the moment.

It always happens. When spot falls, premeums go way up.
Buy on sale pages at JMB and Provident.
Would really like to understand more about stacking Silver. American Silver Eagles and Bullion bars look cool AF.

Every time I look into it most say to buy US mint coins like 1 oz. American Silver Eagles because they attract a larger crowd (silver & coin collectors) for resale, are legal tender, and are harder to fake. However, ASE's are currently selling for about $31-$32, while spot price is at $18-$19... even 1 oz. bullion rounds are $23-$24....

How do I make money or at least hedge against inflation if right off the bat I'm paying $5-$14 over what a buyer/ shop would pay me if I needed to sell?

I know I've got to be missing a key part of this type of investing.

Have you bought from them? I just bought from JM and compared prices, SD was a bit cheaper. JM does have free shipping though.
Bought from them two or three times recently
Happy camper
I think it's free shipping on $100 or something like that or maybe that was the on sale item with free shipping when I bought.

I came to the same conclusion - the premiums put you in the hole from the get-go. There would have to be a pretty huge swing for you to get your money back. And then you lose if you sell back to the same concern, because they always offer a negative premium when you are selling.

Probably why I haven't bought anything.

And if you want to make any kind of money you have to go WAY in. Like OIO in. Like the cost of a house in.

You can go dribs and drabs but that's all you'll get back. And maybe that's ok with the value of the dollar going down.

Although, for some reason the dollar seems to be gaining strength based on the loss of PM values.

Makes my head hurt.
