I had envisioned it on the kitchen island but it moved to the dining table. They didn't even have the dining furniture when we first spoke of this project and it looks amazing there.I hope it's happy in its new home.

It's perfect. Thank you again so very much. I absolutely LOVE it and it's not even in my home.
I know Ashley loves it a LOT. And my brother thinks it's super neat like I do.

Ashley noticed the step routing on the underside right away and was super impressed.
I know my pic is canted lol. 6 hours straight in the crawlspace with a sawzall and a 3lb sledge, I'm surprised I can even stand. I skipped being sore and have went straight into the pain zone.

Raising the sub floor and replacing the rim joists because all the wood was rotted. The brick/vinyl siding wasn't sealed where they meet so the water ran down the exterior door casing and rotted everything underneath the thresholdPounding pud with a 3lb sledge, in the crawl space? Sounds serious.
hope you used pressure treated lumber to replace it just as an precautionRaising the sub floor and replacing the rim joists because all the wood was rotted. Pressure treated for sure. Really needed to trim that 2x10 but a 2x10 came out and a 2x10 is what needed to go in but after 8 years of settling and the water damage, the new 2x10 didn't want to go in. After 6 hours of fighting it, it still wasn't seated all the way. It even has 2 lag bolts coming in from outside of the house that wouldn't draw it up. So today he's going to have to take a skillsaw and rip it to get it out and start over with a new 2x10.hope you used pressure treated lumber to replace it just as an precaution
