Haven't seen one of those in 20 years or more
I've been reading up on it, there are some Chinese knock offs but the originals like this one were made in the US by GAM Manufacturing in Lancaster PA.

Like everything, the earlier ones are better quality bc as time went on they started trying to cut costs I assume. The early ones had forged heads I think instead of cast? I'm still reading so I may be wrong. I know this one has an alloy cap and the early ones have a brass cap.

This is one of those things I didn't know I needed lol. I love old vintage tools. I'm going to see if I can find an early one.
