you can have a vertical grip on a “firearm” not a pistol. Firearm is manufactured outside of pistol features and minimum OAL of 26”. The pistol grip on the back alone would drop him below 26” as that’s achieved by the OEM birds head grips angle , but his pistol grip has a permanent extension that brings OAL back to 26”
