I’m still buying lumber . I’m not so excited , but life is good , we going shooting soon
That sounds awful. Had to buy lumber to fix the deck at the old house before selling last year. Price hadn't gone up yet, but it took 2 months to find enough lumber to do some relatively small repairs.
Still haven't shot the krink that I got back in January, so I've been slacking pretty hard. Lets do it!

PTR-9C, pretty much the ONLY MP-5 clone that's not disgustingly overpriced these days.
Sig Sauer P210, premium target pistol that hasn't changed a whole lot in price throughout the pandemic.
CZ Tac Sport Orange 9mm, mainly for flexin'
Marcolmar CETME-L, because it would be cool to have a non-AR 5.56 roller boi
VP-9 B Match thingy
Glock 17 Gen 5, so I can SBR it and get ridiculous

These are the things that strike my fancy at the moment.

My AC crapped out. 76 degrees in the house. The outside unit will not kick on! AC is only 5 years old.
Capacitors are easy to check... if the end/ ends (with the terminals) are bulged, it's bad. They should be flat.
Agree with @dial1911, I've been through 3 capcitors in nearly 20 years, one of which did not bulge noticeably.

On my model, I followed the main electrical line to the unit and removed an access cover on the corner, shut off the main power disconnect, took pics of the wiring, pulled the old Cap and took it to the local parts store, found the same spec replacement Cap and was back in biz.

Hope yours is something as simple.

Only matters where I'm going
Did not hear compressor kick on. I am hoping it is as simple as a burned out capacitor. If it is low on freon, I have a hole somewhere. Not good.
Texted Capt Dave this morning.
5 yrs old and leak is uncommon, possible but uncommon, unless it's a lesser brand. Could be the capacitor as it doesn't have enough juice to get started or a pressure switch holding it out but the condenser fan shouldn't come on if it's a pressure switch

Someone is sick in the office and it is a year end for me. Cramming. I will pay to fix it.
