Yeah it's the Specwar brake. I think it's long enough it's the process I'm concerned about. Can it be done. I've never seen one anywhere. Is that the specwar brake? I've got one I can go measure if it would help-
Is there enough room on the brake to have it pin weld without messing up anything.

WoW that's good to know. I can pin weld the flash hider that came with it instead since it will be ran only with the can anyway. I'll put the brake on another full size platform.one last thing to consider...sico describes the brake as being a "blast baffle" when used with the specwar. as I understand it, this means that it is potentially a sacrificial piece to preserve the life of the can. I wonder what the expected life of the brake is when ran suppressed? might be a bitch to change out once it's pinned and welded.
That basement looks for familiar. I can't remember if I was held captive there or something else.ok, so I went and measured my pws rifle with a 16" barrel and the specwar brake installed. note that pws lists this as a 16.1" barrel on their website.
I put the cleaning rod down the barrel, reinstalled the bcg, and closed the bolt. the rod is all the way back on the closed bolt.
I used my specially made "marker" aka duct tape to mark the end of the brake.
here is the measurement.
it reads 18" on the nose.
so that should mean that the brake adds 1.9" or 2" to the barrel length.
you should be good to go assuming that there's enough material to do a proper weld.
I would think that you're looking at an overall barrel length of 16.4"+ with a true 14.5" barrel.

So if there's no difference with can on then it doesn't matter. The brake would need to be on the 3 gun or long range rifle I guess. Cool thanks
lol, getting weird. That basement looks for familiar. I can't remember if I was held captive there or something else.
