what do y'all know about black spider optics?

I'm thinking of getting one for my AR to try out the small reddot style before buying a T1. If I get one it would go to a M&P 15/22 down the road and the aimpoint would replace it.

The price is great at around 140 with mount. I think they are made by spikes tactical maybe.

Don't know about Black Spider... haven't used one personally.

I went with Primary Arms for my cheap red dot/Aimpoint impersonator... it's been working great. And they are sometimes on sale for as cheap as $50 (Black Friday sale last year or year before, heck, maybe every year).

Is that eotech used orbits it on sale?
It's on sale as far as I know. They are having a big optics sale, although their sales flyer on the website was down when I checked a few minutes ago.

PRO: Black Spider makes a solid red dot that is both durable and stays on zero.

PRO: Black Spider optics are a fraction of the price of a comparable Aimpoint.

PRO: Black Spider optics have a sensor to auto dim when your environment lighting changes (going indoors from outdoors, dark to light, etc.)

PRO: Black Spider optics utilizes a standard AAA battery (cheap common battery).

CON: Battery only lasts about a year or less unlike Aimpoints that last 6-8 years.

Preface this with: I've only used one once. I'm expecting to get one to test here soon.

Its comparable to an Aimpoint but not "as" good per say. Maybe it's the price perception keeping me from going all in on the clarity. I'd put it up there with Halosun or Vortex. It's definitely better than a Primary Arms in my opinion, but I had a bad experience with a Primary Arms.

Once I get mine, I'll do a better review.
