    Adding Utah (non-resident) permit

I appreciate that, Pops. When I have a little more spare time (which is hard to come by even though I'm retired) I'll look into a local class that covers both state's requirements.

    Adding Utah (non-resident) permit

I'm thinking about the same for me, both non-resident of course. What differences, if any, are the requirements for the two? I have not done any investigation but I do know there's someone teaching Utah-compliant classes in my area.

ATF C&R (Curios & Relics) license?

I'm going to guess that it's so you can ship or receive old guns without paying another FFL holder.

    Caldwell E-MAX electronic earmuffs failure

Are you fellas referring to "Midwest" or "Midway"? If it's Midway, I like dealing with them too.

    380 over pressure

There are LOTS of variables that can come into play with reloading. Simply mixing up the cartridge case batches can affect group size, for example. Y'all wouldn't believe the tweaking I do with loading for my benchrest rifle (a Remington 40XBR in .222 Remington caliber with a 20X Unertl scope...

Another mystery for the gang to solve....

The problem, Jack, is that the screws in this old gun have very narrow screwdriver slots. While I have the ultra-thin tips for my screwdriver set (from Brownell's) that fit the screws, you cannot apply the same kind of torque to them that a more rugged modern screw can take. I'll just leave...

    What the heck?

Dave - I can't tell what it is that you ordered based on that link. Nothing showed as being sold for $11. Was it the Lyman book?

Another mystery for the gang to solve....

Actually, Rich, there is no ejector in this Darne shotgun. It has an extractor (right between the two chambers) but no ejector. When you rotate the breech, the spent shells are pulled back a little over 1/4 inch so you can grab their rims with your fingers to pull them all the way out.

Improving your grip on the LCP slide

On the "other" forum, I posted a method I used then to make the LCP slide easier to grip. It consisted of using little strips of 3M stair tread tape stuck into the grooves on the right side of the slide (I am right handed and usually carry on my right side). Here are the photos I posted back...

Without a single doubt, the absolute best place to buy new centerfire brass cartridge cases is Starline.

Another mystery for the gang to solve....

Cocking the internal hammers is done by the lifting of the handle that unlocks the breech mechanism. It's one action - cocking the hammers and unlocking the breech. Moving the handle to the vertical position both cocks the systems for both barrels and releases the breech so it can be rotated...

Another mystery for the gang to solve....

There was an earlier model of the Darne that had a similar rotating breech, but with exposed hammers. I've seen a few photos of those. The Model 1892 (which mine is) was made for a few years and then Darne went to the sliding breech concept which was what mukwah was referring to. I have no...

Another mystery for the gang to solve....

Uncle George got it right. There could be one more picture, but I didn't make it because I would have needed a helper. If the breech is forced a little more to the right (against a spring), a piece in between the two barrels extracts the two expended shells about 1/4 inch so they can...

Another mystery for the gang to solve....

The stuck screw seems to be a wood screw. It goes through the wooden butt plate into the stock. I don't think I'd want to flood the wood with oil. I'm good with leaving it alone, as I don't think it would be wise to shoot the gun anyway. Let's get a few more guesses and then we can spill the...
