Not even just them, I suspect most Army and Marine infantry are more than capable of handling this kind of training. I mean there are thousands out there with several deployments that I think could handle this class. Hell even some SWAT team members are probably pretty capable.

Layers are your friend. Also, before bed boil a pot of water and pour it in a nalgene bottle then put it in a wool sock and put it in your sleeping bag. Makes a nice thing to keep your feet warm.

IMO unless you see yourself regularly taking 300+ yard shots then a .308 is not going to be any better suited then a 5.56 or x39. added weight per round is going to be the main draw back for me.
