I did the same, cheap LED back up bulbs dont work as well as the stock ones. I want one of the LED light bars to supplement them when needed and also for when I need constant light behind the truck.

As long as you want, but my opinion is 3 days is a good amount of time. Most folks who are even reasonably active here will see it within the 3 days

So, a couple things, Make sure that the wire is the same gauge the entire run and that the looks like the insulation melted off the wire which caused it to ground out before the fuse. Just a guess.
