I carry a G30 with 230 gr 45 ACP. I prefer a larger caliber. I prefer 1911 so I stick with 45 ACP. All semi auto cartridges have limitations due to design of mag and grip size unlike revolvers.

I don't know about European cans. You can get a quality center fire can in the $500s here. I don't think cans are overpriced now but that's all relative. There was a time you're average person couldn't afford a silencer.

I agree. Honestly I think HPA is mostly marketing. Most people never heard of ASA until now. But it's a good way to educate the public that silencers aren't only for killing people.

The only barriers to silencer manufacturing is equipment, skilled labor, and capital. I have the license and tax paid to manufacturer silencers but lack 3/3. Don't expect to see silencers drop 50%. Silencers are expensive to make. Ti is expensive. Machines are expensive. CNC programming and...

I'd go with a 88 12ga too with a 28" barrel. Maybe a 20ga. Carrying it around town would be a bitch though.
