I would rather have quality night sights any ways. The front rail is negligible for me as I don't tend to use it. I did mount TLR-6 on my wife's G43 and had a custom holster made for it.

Some guys over at Uzi Talk were looking at a conversion for the Mac to .22 TUM since would only require a barrel change. Sam over at Practical Solutions actually built a prototype. I have not been over there in a while but I would love to find out that I could run .22TCM on my full auto M11/9!

There is nothing wrong with 5.56, .223 or 7.62x39 for a deer rifle. I have hunted both with 5.56 and 300 blk ARs.

I personally have not held or shot the Taurus. Basically, the design is the same between the 3 pistols. If you are looking for EDC, then it is what fits you be best. If you want deep concealment probably a derringer for last ditch gun.

I have only 1 bolt gun and that is my Savage bmag. I built an AR47 and runs great with Monarch steel case ammo. The mags (ASC) from WhatACountry are prices right and run flawlessly.

Beretta Pico and Remington RM380 are also good choices. Most all of the micro pistols will not have a safety as they are double action only. The 1911 style will have a safety. Although not a micro pistol, I am in love with my Sig 938p in 9mm.
