    Pump action AR15.

    Yeah, those destroy brass too.

    Pump action AR15.

Nevermind, here is what it looks like. Pretty hard on the brass. Would not be ideal for reloaders in my opinion.

    Pump action AR15.

Seems ok. I don't like the pump action on a bench though. Frustrating to have to reset your shooting position after every shot. May be fun as you said though on a suppressed SBR. More of a novelty in a non restricted state though. Would be curious to see what the brass looked like out of that...

    Cleaning a Supressor

Curious what your blast baffles look like since you run FA and direct thread on them mostly. Thread came up on ODT about the QD brakes acting like a sacrificial blast baffle again. Would be neat to see if yours are roughed up a lot or still in pretty good shape.

    Cleaning a Supressor

Interesting, but seems tumbling the parts for a day got them just as clean and did not require the brake fluid treatment nor the added mess. I suppose if you have ready access to a range shoot a lot, it could help, otherwise, it seems like too much added work.

    Tool Loaner Thread

Yeah, not one for loaning out tools, but definitely don't mind folks coming over to use them or have me walk them through something they might do incorrectly. Too bad I'm in BFE. Most don't want to drive out here...

    Call me Jif...

What type of rail is that? Looks like the ones on the older Sigma S&W's?

    The Bad Ol' Days

The way you originally worded was a tad abrasive. I see you amended the post.

    The Bad Ol' Days

Yeah, that is a bummer too. In reality though. Most "service rifle" matches allow some bending if the rules to get more turnout. Rare to find large groups with strict rule enforcement. My first match, people were allowed to use optics and rails as well many years ago. If not, there would have...

    The Bad Ol' Days

If you are referring to the fact you can use up to 4.5x optics, that does take away some of the fun IMHO. Doesn't mean you can't compete with irons though. I don't shoot to win anyways, I shoot to better myself from the previous session. If I place better, great. As long as you are doing better...

    The Bad Ol' Days

What are you talking about? @EugenFJR is referring to the NM hand guard like I have on my CMP rifle. You use hallowed out A2 handgaurds around the free float tube and the sling swivel is not attached to the FSB, it's on the free float tube. You can crank down on the sling without causing barrel...

    The Bad Ol' Days

The RR NW free float tube has the sling swivel attached to it. You can crank down on it if you want. No deflection.

    The Bad Ol' Days

The worst deal I ever saw was at a LGS here in Cartersville. Someone consigned an SR556 for $3,500. A really REALLY southern boy went to his credit union and got a personal loan to buy it. Paid the $3,500 and left happy. God knows what he did with it when the market flooded.... One guy at the...

    The Bad Ol' Days

This is what I remember from the Sandy Hook panic Stripped Lowers: readily saw them go for $250 during Sandy Hook, forged ones that is. BCG's: $300 for good ones like BCM. LPK's: $100-$150 for basic PSA kits PMags: $45-$50/ea I knew many folks that sold their 100 mag cases for $4-$5k 9mm...

    Recipe Watermelon

She you describe it like that, it sounds good. Looking at hot watermelon though is tough to stomach. Especially knowing how good it is cold.

    Took a chance today.

A large majority of the builds I have done over the years involved complete uppers and only having to do just the lower. Most people get cold feet when I send a list of parts to buy to build an upper from. I never understood it fully. Some people just don't feel comfortable I suppose. That, and...
