GMC Sierra - My tinker truck

Lol! I use scrap cardboard and put the hardware in the same orientation it came out in if I know I will have to leave a project. I also use painters tape and number all the connections 1-xx as well. Makes it MUCH easier than referencing a service manual every 5 seconds.

I hope. Just have to find time for the rest. I pushed my luck with my truck and finishing up a budget AR build this weekend.

No hate at all if you are doing a budget build. I oersonally like going used as I can get somenpretty sweet deals 9/10. Post pics and details when you are done! Here are mine: http://www.southeasttraders.com/threads/508-budget-build.9000/ And...

GMC Sierra - My tinker truck

I bought this thing quite a few years ago. It was purchased to pull my landscaping business trailer and did that well for many years. Well, I got out of the lawn care business and sold just the trailer. Since every family SHOULD have a full size truck if they can afford it, I definitely had no...

    $508 budget build

Seems really only related to their Gen 1 lowers. After comparing it and a Gen 3, no way they are made at the same facility. Hell, I wouldn't be surprised if the Noveske lowers were coming off the same machine as an Anderson. Probably as Anderson rejects...lol

    $508 budget build

Great! What would it cost to get enough paint for an upper, lower, barrel and rail? 15" rail, 16" barrel?

    $508 budget build

Yeah, That Noveske lower is meh. The trigger guard holes were out of spec and the pivot pin hole had too much anodizing buildup. I had to alter both. Would much rather have a Battle Arms Development lower. The Noveske Gen 1's are junk IMHO.

    $508 budget build

Ok, so I have been buying a bunch of used parts off ODT and other places for misc projects. Well, the ugliest of all uppers was offered at a great price and after getting it, I kind of liked it. I originally bought it for the muzzle device and receiver, but LOVE the shape of this rail. If this...

    Any experience with Anderson lowers?

$60 seems a little high. I paid $29.99 for my last batch of them (Black Friday). $50 and under is a good price IMHO. I have built alot of them. For the large majority they do just fine for budget builds. I have run into excess anodizing in holes that I had to clean up, I have also seen some...

    Echo Trigger?

I see where you are coming from, but this seems fucking awesome! I was ALWAYS wondering why no one did this earlier. I always thought about his concept of a fire on releases to go right up to line with the rules. Although nearly $500 is nuts, sure beats $18-$25k for an M16 or DIAS. Seems as...

Anyone want to make a package price buy in? That way no one feels like they got the short end of the stick?

The ODT one was with what I asume was a cheap CNC desktop style mill, definitely not a business. Probably one of the CNC converted Harbot Freight mills?? I get what you are saying though. Definitely want to keep this as a garage type event. No grey areas for me.
