Exactly. Thats why I wouldnt notify them for an AR. Yea just mail the NFA branch a letter with the pertinent info (trust name, Serial, etc) and let them know that caliber or OAL changed.

They would like you to. If it was an mp5 or something that takes a gunsmith to change the barrel, I would notify them. For an AR? I wouldnt worry about it.

It doesnt matter. They only ask that if its a permanent change to send them a letter and they will update the registry. They know you are trying to follow the law and dont give a shit

I finally found a PWS carbon barrel for my tac sol x-ring, thanks to The Farm Gunworks. I might end up putting a 1-4x scope on it, but otherwise this rifle is finally where I want it. Post up your favorite rimfires!
