    Aug vs Tavor

i don't remember the exact specs off the top of my head. I believe they are similar. the tavor grip is further forward and it points differently...definitely butt heavy.

    Aug vs Tavor

Some other random thoughts or observations: The AUG has a cross bolt safety which is different. It's not bad but it is entirely different than an AR. The Tavors safety switches more like an AR but it can get in the way of your firing grip (aftermarket parts can minimize this a bit) Neither...

    Aug vs Tavor

I have owned both at the same time. I sold the AUG but it was a close second to the tavor. I still own the tavor and doubt that I would ever get rid of it. The tavor would be my "go to" weapon over the many ARs, AKs, etc. that I have if I ever had to grab one and go. The Israelis don't build...

    How about ANNNNNN AK thread!

just not the same without Tony Two Times. I've noticed a severe lack of trolling in AR threads.

    Public toilets?

old school, cheap ass Gillette out of the red and black can, disposable razors, and warm water. I don't care - up stroke or down - whatever leaves less ingrown hairs.

PX4 9mm Fullsize, what do you know.

I was looking for a da/sa gun at one point several years back. I did a lot of research on the px4...searching everything I could find about them on the internet. I found a couple of articles about smaller police departments switching out of them after being in use for several years. not sure...

    Century C308 thoughts?

I went down this path a year ago and decided to save and then spend the extra $200 to $300 on a PTR. CDNN has PTRs in the $800 to $850 range from time to time. The PTR customer service is much better and they seem to put out less lemons. My interwebz research made me wary of the CAI CETMEs.

Tonight's episode of Adventures in AR Smithin'

what type/brand of bolt are you running in your x39 AR? have you had any issues? I'm trying to decide if the interwebz hub-bub is real or if it's due to madeup rumors by 556 fanboys on arfcom.

the design criteria for the 300 were extensive and I think for the most part, they accomplished what they set out to do (or maybe they stole the whisper 300 specs and commercialized it). regardless: it is a 30 caliber round, that approximates the energy of an x39 round when supersonic, is easily...

Definitely a lesson in here for those of us who build these. Great write up and great information. I'm glad that RF offered to replace the barrel. I guess that's something you can say about them.
