I'm not 10/22 expert by any realm of the imagination... But it looks like the rounds are having a hard time going up the feed ramp. Maybe buff the feed ramp with a buffing wheel on a Dremel tool?? That's what I'd do.

If I buy another one, it will prob. be a shellback.

I have the same plate carrier you do. I really hate the Army issued one. I've worn it for up to 13 hours a day ( with breaks ) and it's not too bad. I should have spent the money on a $250.00 dollar "Shellback" But I was being cheap at the time, and not sure if the CO would sign off on us...

A G43 is on my list, but I think I'll wait until I can compare them side by side. The G43 grip is small even for my T-rex sized hands. Maybe the 10 round 43x will work better for me.

We did a 14 mile run in boots, LBV, and with our weapons (I had a M16 w/M203). The Battalion commander had a M9, of course it was his idea.

Putting your rifle on safe, when doing a mag change, is stupid... especially if the bolt locked to the rear because the gun went dry. It's a extra step that no one needs to practice.

I don't really WANT to build anything at this time... but I do want a M-76 in 8mm, and the reproduction FG-42 in .308 because I can mod the M14 mags to make them work in that gun.

I think all coat hangers should have serial numbers, 5 day waiting period, background check, and a $200 tax stamp... It's for the children you know.
