Who's got the best prices on reloading supplies ( especially powder and primers) in the northern metro?

I want to stock up on small pistol primers and powder before Hitlery official gets the Dem nod and demand goes up...

No idea, but we can see where the train is headed. If you can find the supplies you need, there really aren't any "bad" prices...yet.

Yeah I agree. I guess worrying about $1 here or there is a bit silly considering not that long ago it wasn't available at any price retail.

Exactly. I feel the same way about rimfire ammo. I'm just buying the quantity that I need and I'm not worrying about a few dollars here or there.

Last group buy at the gun club worked out to about $28 per thousand for whatever primer size/type you wanted. I think I got 9K... I don'r really remember the number- I'm not out of the ones from the last big buy yet. Now I need more powder suitable for suppressed pistol loads.

Edit to clarify: See how much interest we can get in a group buy on primers. I'm kind of set for a couple years, but I would not mind a couple more on hand.

Then edit to fix previous order and price.

Little secret ...when Cabellas does a sale have it shipped to the store to avoid hazmat

Good tip....now to wait for a sale. I was going to go there anyway since they are roughly the same cost as everywhere else local but I get 5% for military...not much but at it nearly cancels tax.

If you buy rifle powder in 8 lb jugs, generally the savings are $3+ per pound in these parts. I stick with 1lb jugs in pistol since it goes such a long way.

Pannels has some in stock and they used to be competitive but I haven't checked in a while

Big woods had a decent supply and prices of the most popular stuff, but again, haven't been in a while.

You should have bought that $300 dollar 9mm reloading set, when you had the chance... Hell I should have bought it... It was damn good deal.

I did...that's why I'm selling the rest of the case of 9mm I got the day before I decided to. I have to recoup some money and the savings was worth it.

If I could find an 8 pound jug of the IMR pistol powder I'd buy it.

Another good thing about buying the pistol powder in 1lb cans is the option of having several different kinds on hand. The only pistol powder I buy bulk is titegroup. The big cans of pistol powder are for shotgun shell loaders, haha.

Thats awesome! I'm glad you got it. If you need some place to store it, I have plenty of room in my basement. ;) BTW, I need to get w/ you IOU a buck twenty for the ammo.

lol I do need to build a solid stand-alone stand for it. I have limited space, I have it jerry-rigged to my bench right now. I'd like to make a mobile-stand for it.

As far as the ammo goes, whenever you're ready

Believe it or not, I might have a bench for you... Its kind of a long story, but I have to get a giant bench out of a house, and I have to cut it in half, just to get it back to my house, and I'm not sure if I can use both parts of the bench. Send me a text, I could meet you tomorrow at AO sometime to get the ammo from you.

MIdway had a sale on cci primers with free shipping and no hazmat. You had to buy 5k.

MidSouth Shooter Supply runs shipping sales on primers and powder also.
