Got a trade offer for one and honestly I have never even paid them any attention because I dislike DA/SA guns.

That said, this is a pretty good trade offer, so I may jump on it.

So long as they aren't junk.

Wonder how well it would suppress with that rotating barrel.

***edit, apparently the suppressor would thread off the rotating barrel. So much for that idea ***

Px4 line is solid. Shot full and compact or sub can't remember.
Point naturally and are accurate, no function issues.
The sights on the compact looked like they would be worthless but were good

well... i was interested in what you had to say about it. my wife has held and shot a px4 compact. she shoots so many different guns, that when i asked her about it, she gave me the "which one of those black guns was it again?" so i am interested in what anyone says about it.

I like everything about it except the safety/decocker. It's to sharp. Aftermarket parts are non existent. Trigger is a bit heavy, but smooth. Very accurate. I got mine for$350 from cg&p when Beretta was offering a $75 rebate bringing it to $275.

I was looking for a da/sa gun at one point several years back. I did a lot of research on the px4...searching everything I could find about them on the internet.

I found a couple of articles about smaller police departments switching out of them after being in use for several years. not sure why..but it was a bit of a red flag on long term durability etc. I still had my mind set out to acquire one but once I got to my lgs, I saw a CZ-75 that I just had to have.

if it's a really good deal, then it could be a no brainer. knowing you, nws, it probably won't stay in your collection for very long - especially since it doesn't have "Smyrna GA" written on the frame.

A guy had one at a 2 day pistol class I took. It was a compact .40. It jammed a lot more than the Glocks and M&Ps in the class.

And of course the typical 1st shot being off because of the DA, but you can overcome that with a lot of practice. Not my cup of tea though.

The rotating barrel doesn't really roll the can off any faster than than standard threads vibrate off. mike Pappas tested it once., he used a standard booster IIrC

I like them. Heard you can't suppress them yet because of the barrel but people are working on it I'm sure.
