When I used to run I really liked mizunos, they were close to $100 but worth every penny. Now I don't run much and wear adidas, avia mostly, they are fine and relatively cheap.

You can't really go on price. Some of the most expensive have things that you might not need, want, or that even compliment your running style.
The last shoes I bought (3 weeks ago) were about $90. Saucony Cortana 4's. They don't have much cushion (don't like a squishy shoe), have decent stability, and are relatively flat at a 4mm heel to toe drop.
Look at the type(s) of shoe(s) that's best for your body type and stride, then look at prices. You can expect $80-$115 though pretty easily.

Also, make sure to replace them based on mileage, usually 300-400 miles, and not tread life on the bottom of the shoe. The foam will begin to breakdown before the tread wears out, and it will cause issues. I can always tell if I go too long because I start to get some knee and hip pain. New shoes, pain is gone.
So basically in line with everyday sneakers. Cool.

I didn't think about replacing shoes. Good info!

I've ran up to 4.5 miles but my lower back be dead the next day. Been staying at 3.5-3.8 the last few months. Figured it was better than doing nothing. :noidea:

It sounds like your hamstrings are incredibly tight. Youtube some hamstring stretches, and slowly increase your mileage. It'll work, I used to have the same issue.

Thanks! I'll check in on that cause I was at a lose as to what I was doing to cause it. I kept thinking it was just the way I was running or something.

I'm headed to the gym now. I prefer going late at night before bed.

Today was rest day.

Yesterday was HAM chest and I decided to focus on pressing movements. After warm ups started with 4 sets of increasing weight on bench. Then hit the Hammer Strength machines, incline, straight, and decline presses for four sets of increasing weight. Finished it off with 15 minutes of cardio.
