It's all priced at $29.95. There aren't many places to get powder around here, so I don't mind paying up a little bit. It's cheaper than ordering online and having to pay the hazmat fees or having to place a huge order to offset them.

Went back in to snap a picture, in case you're looking for something in particular.

I just did the math on powder Valley. 8 lbs of XBR would be $215 including hazmat. Add in shipping cost and it's probably within $10. A smaller order, like 4lbs would be about $20-25 more expensive than the Army Navy price.

There's nothing wrong with $30 a lb, you're lucky to have that locally. My lgs powder runs from $27-$32, primers run around $30/1000.

I just got into some surplus pistol powder at $21 per lb, but have not loaded any of it. I am quite picky with my rifle powder though, and buy it by the 8lb jug. Paid $215 for my last jug.

I purchased 1 big jug of Varget for $179 and 2000 rifle primers for $24/1000 as my only internet order.

The owner of the gun store told me to use his store to figure out what powder, primers I wanted and to not worry with the internet until I was ready to place a big order.

Hazmat and shipping included for $179, and $24 1000? If so that is awesome.

Midsouth Shooters Supply is a favorite of mine because of their location in Tn. If I order bullets, dies, etc. in the am and ship Fedex business, generally my order arrives the next day.

Not sure where you're located, but I wish it was near me. I need someone to take me under their wing and show me the reloading ropes.

I am 30 minutes south of Atlanta. I would teach you if you gave me some of that Vicks tatical ointment that you like to rub on Glock magazines.

Haha! I don't even own a Glock! Fireclean? If so, you've got a deal! I'm in McDonough. Are you in Griffin or over towards Fayette County?

Jackie Graham from TOS let me come over and chat him up with questions. Very knowledgeable.

It's really not that hard, and pretty safe if all you are loading is rifle rounds. My .223 loads basically fill the case to the neck, so you can't really overload them. If there's no pistol powder around, and you toss questionable brass, I think your chances of a kaboom are basically nil.

Yeah I use powders that fill the case in rifle, and at least 2/3the case volume in pistol.I keep examples of bad brass on hand to show what to look out for. Can get a kaboom from case head seperations and double charges. Generally as long as the brass is good and the powder charge is good all is well. That and primer seating, you don't want an out of battery discharge.
