HK45 vs HK45C

Well, I'm thinking about trading one of my 1911s for an HK45 Compact. I already have a full size HK45 and it has single handedly made me reconsider plastic guns. It is a little big, however. I have no issues carrying it but the HK45C seems just that little bit better for carry.

Does anyone here have any experience with the HK45 and the HK45C? How do they compare in actual use? Accuracy? Weight? etc... Is it worth getting for carry over the HK45? I will be keeping the HK45 regardless. I just want to know if it's worth spending the money on the HK45C vs benefits or if the HK45 is just as good.

I have a USP 45 and had a USP 45c. The compact aint that compact. I actually sold mine and kept the fullsize for home defense. I still like the 45acp round for carry though so I bought a CM45. Perfect carry size.

I know that the HK45 and HK45c use the same mags as the USP and USPc. That should give a clue to their size. The 45c is a big gun.

I wish they did...HK45 mags will fit in a USP but USP will definitely not fit in an HK45. I tried....

Interesting. I bought HK45 mags for my USP and they look the same and work 100%. I will take a better look at them tonight.

The USP45 mags are just a tad wider than the HK45 mags. The USP mags hold 12 rounds...HK45 holds an advertised 10 ( but I can get 11 in all of mine)

I want to like them. I am a CW45 and it jammed... A LOT. It was so bad once I had to use a rubber mallet to beat the slide off with a live round wedged in it.

I have dainty ballerina wrists but I really don't think that was the case. I had a buddy shoot it and it did the same thing. Really turned me off of Kahr...

Yeah, that's the thing with Kahrs. They make a great gun but their final QC sux. They let too many turds out the door. My CM has over 300 rounds through it now without a single failure. I had a CW9 that would fail to feed every third round and went back 3 times.

It was a honest question. I have shot the 9 with no issue's but never the 45.

@GunsiteGrad let me shoot his CW/M 9 and it performed flawlessly...I just couldn't hit Honey Boo Boo with it if I tried.
