I think primary arms deal is probably better especially if you want less than 1k rounds. Haven’t checked the shipping at Atlantic but PA is $.50 / round and you can buy by the 20 round box. Their shipping wasn’t too bad either.

Just checked and PA was cheaper.

Same ammo, 1000 count was $499+$18.08 shipping at PA for a total of $517.08 before tax. At Atlantic, was $495+$35 shipping or $530 before tax. The only variable is if Atlantic charges GA sales tax or not.

I don't know the tax rate in 1774, but I do know the IRS was formed during WWII. And was supposed to be only temporary, to help account for the money being collected by the government to pay for the war.

IIRC,(going from memory here) in 1774 it was 2%. The Colonists went to war with the greatest military power in the world at the time over a 1% raise in taxes.
In 1942, again, from memory, it was 10%.

Perhaps @Grunk can double-check my numbers…

In 1943 or 44, I forget which, the American people finally allowed ‘Withholding Taxes’, to help the war effort, and it was supposed to cease when the war ended.

Now our average tax bracket is around 33-37%.

And we aren’t rioting in the streets???

Gentlemen, there’s no need to point to the 2nd amendment and warn about frogs in boiling water.

The XVI'th amendment, allowing the federal government to collect income tax, wasn't ratified until 1913.
Prior to that, it was a per-capita tax collected from the states. The states got to determine how they got that money. And understood what it meant to get a 'kick-back' from the feds.
