Funny. This kind of reminds me of that time I traded rifles with @DMR and he kept my SAR numbered top cover and refused to respond to any communication.
I’m on here. I still have the cover I think. I didn’t refuse to send anything. I just held onto it until you could meet me at an appropriate time and it just never came up, and I forgot. You could have PMd me instead to remind me.

But I guess calling people out is more honorable to you.

I’ll look for it and message you so you can pick it up.

I texted you at least twice about mailing it and told you I would cover any charges.

Pretty sure I mentioned I found the factory box and all the paperwork including test fire data from Izhmash for that Saiga after we unpacked.

The SAR had the incorrect bullet guide by the way, so I'm not sure how you got 2 full magazines through it like you said.

This is not a call out. It's facts.

I’ve changed 2 phones since then. I rarely get on here or anywhere else for that matter. As a matter of fact I deleted even my Facebook account because I’m tired of social media. I’m just covered up with work and life. There was no intentional reason to keep your cover. Again, PMing me seems reasonable and you should have done that first. I have no use for the dust cover.

pm me your number and we’ll sort it out

Maybe I am missing something, but ut seems that 5.45 guide would be better than a 223 guide? 5.45 has separate guides for each stack of ammo in the magazine angling them to the center, whereas 223 guide is flat, so cartridge can move left and right freely?
Before AK spare parts became widely available people used to use a section of a round pipe as a guide, round pipe would center the cartridge against the chamber as it was being fed.

Well, there is not a "standard" for 5.56 AKs. Maybe just like the magazine, every country had different variations of the bullet guides. Interesting, thanks for the photos.

That should work for everything but Chinese, *and Yugo I'm assuming. It is "spec'ed(lol) for Russian pattern guns.

Long story short, I tried both the mags that came with the gun, and the factory 5 rounder, and two different types of SAR 3 mags, and I couldn't get more than one round to feed(first one was probably a fluke. I tried both sides of the ramp and both feed lips.

No dice.

It's a century build so I'm not surprised there's a bad part.
