Your Gun Derp

Even those of us that have grown up with firearms have made some dumb gun decisions over the years.

Let's hear yours.

These are just a few of mine:

-When I first got into AR's I went A2 and put a scope on top of the carry handle.

-Bought a Glock 22.

-Never really did figure out how to put that Ruger MKII together without resorting to the instruction manual...good riddance MKII.

I bought an Enfield with intentions of "Sporterizing" it. Thank God I never actually went through with it.

I bought a Glock 27. That's way worse than a 22.

I bought a polymer Tapco quad rail for my first AR..... A Bushmaster Carbon 15......

Yeah..... I had some real derps...

How about a 1916 Spanish Mauser with a chamber insert to shoot 7.62x39.

Seemed like a good idea at the time.

Spent way too much money on an Arthur Ciener .22 conversion for my 1911 back in the day. Then, sold it for less than half what I paid when I needed cash.

That was a really nice Bulgarian 74 that I slapped a bunch of Tapco shit on and put a Primary Arms micro red dot on an AR mount on the polymer Tapco picatinny rail.

I sold it and bought another Bulgarian 74 that had a KVAR furniture set on it though.

Sold my Norinco MAK-90, it was the best shooting AK that I have ever seen, It could probably hold 2 MOA.
Sold a German Luger, issued in WWI and WWII.

Yeah man, it was pretty bad. I look back on it now and I'm embarrassed. That was before I really got serious into guns and I thought that I was ordering some quality parts because everybody said how good Tapco AK mags were so I figured that their furniture had to be good too. Boy was I wrong. That stock when "locked" open had so much fucking wobble to it that it bounced around on your shoulder and the red dot didn't hold a zero for shit because of the fit of that Tapco quad rail. The worst part is that when I bought it, it had a beautiful set of Russian Red stained wood furniture and I threw them in the burn pile after I put that Tapco shit on it.

I'm not defending that piece of shit Tapco AK furniture set in any way, BUT, your G19 looks almost as bad. The difference is that this was 10 years ago for me and you still have that G19.
