This is my current easily acquired favorite. It has almost a sour curry aroma with hints of sweet vanilla sugar cookie. Nose isn't bad, but it's different enough that I'm not sure I like it. The palate is fantastic. Rich overtones of thick caramel and vanilla. One of the sweetest bourbon I've ever had. A little creamy, very little burn on the finish. Perfect every day bourbon that double as a dessert drink as well. I think it's only like $50 too

Good, not really worth price IMO

The Gold is better, but they're both blended. Basically JW Blue is for amateur whisky drinkers that want to look sophisticated in from of friends that know JW Blue is expensive, but don't know why. It's also the go to whisky at airport bars when trying to pick up a hot chick sitting next to you.

Not a big Scotch guy..but when the mood strikes this is my favorite. Tastes like smoked smoke with a little hint of peat View attachment 116183

My favorite single malt Islay. Lot's of smoke, lots of peat, but extremely well balanced with heather and honey. Beautiful whisky.

The younger stuff is pretty good too. More expensive tho

.. It ain't bourbon, so I miss some of that oak, but it's not bad. Lots of vanilla and caramel on the nose, smells really sweet and approachable.
Flavor wise it's got okay depth, but it doesn't stay with you very long. Finishes with a little burn and then that's it. Real easy to drink, but not terribly interesting or complex IMO. I think it's something you drink with company so you don't have to pour your better stuff. It certainly isn't bad, but for $50-60 a bottle I expected a little more.
