What's everybody catchin'?
These are spotted bass. They don't get as big as their largemouth cousins. I would have to go to guntersville Alabama to catch the 10+ pounders that I like.I thought there were supposed to be big bass down here. I've caught bigger bass in nebraska farm ponds.
Walleye is on my bucket list, I have been told more than once that, it is the best tasting fresh water fish their is.
my wife is amazing. No, she doesn't log in and read my post. She is just amazing. We went on our honeymoon and she surprised me with a fishing trip! We caught so many fish the 150 gallon cooler wouldn't close at the end of the day.
True story, in Bermuda the person that catches the fish does NOT own them. They belong to the boat captain.
We caugh all kinds of fish. Spotted grouper.. Really too many to remember. The best was my wife hooking up with a jack. Once the captain and I realized it was a reef donkey she handed me the rod! It took 45 mins to get it in the boat. The rod and reel weren't setup for big fish. The captain kept asking me not to break his rig. I looked back and told him to relax. It wasn't my first rodeo.
The captain gave us some of the catch. The resort made the fish fresh for us for dinner that night.

I am knew into the fishing world and trying my hand at shore bass fishing. I have only gone out a few times and have only had luck with catching a small 6-8 inch large mouth off of a hard plastic worm lure. Even though it was a little guy, it was still a Bass and makes me want to go out a catch something bigger.
Anyone have any tips for a beginner, such as lures, time a day, locations, ect. ect. Anything will be of help!

Sometimes I like to just randomly make up what I am fishing for that day because I know I probably won't catch anything haha
Good article! I will have to give that a try. The guy I caught off of a 5 inch Berkly Powerbait soft plastic worm. Even though it was the only thing I caught that day, still made my day to findly land a bass!

Right on, Yeah that bait I mentioned works for pretty much anything in the water and I do mean anything. I have caught carp, catfish, bream, Hybrids and striper on it. Good luck out there man. If you can afford a boat that would be the first thing on my list if you are getting serious about bass fishing.
