Early May, 1995, Oklahoma City, right after the Murrah Federal Building terrorist bombing, I took went out to a Sporting Goods Store and bought a Berreta 92FS, because that's the gun Martin Riggs (Mel Gibson's character) used in "Lethal Weapon" along with an Uncle Mike's soft holster and took my CCW class from the good people at H&H Gun Range in OKC.

Wow have things advanced since then. Now I have a far better carry system that I use daily.

Yeah, the first handgun I bought myself was a Fulton County Police LEO trade in Beretta 92. I never carried it though. I guess I did carry a Beretta 96 INOX for a couple of years while working security but I didn't carry off duty so it really doesn't count.

Edit: Funny story... I was going to originally get a used Glock 23 but I wasn't making too much cash at the time. I then decided that I hated Glocks and will never own one... I still hate them, I just shoot decent with it and don't care if I mess it up... Well... I shoot decent until the grip starts making my hand hurt because it sucks.
