The head shape is a poor indicator.

Looks like one to me. That's one of the freaky things about a water moccasin, the head shape isn't such a dead giveaway like it is with other venomous snakes. It's easy to mistake them for a harmless variety.

That looks more like a cotton mouth aka water moccasin.

Here is a regular water snake, which I think is what was in the original post.

The snake is non-poisonous as it has round pupils. Poisonous snakes have elliptical pupils.
