I was recently in that position and decided to invest in a Friends startup It might pay off big time but if it doesn't it will at least be an interesting ride
Well then you have no other choice but to burn through the cash at a strip club.I've made that pitch to a friend who has a start up, but they weren't looking for any investors yet.

Gosh, I haven't done any research in the last few months, but I'm an in and out kinda guy instead of s buy and hold sorta dude.Anything in particular?
I could always hire Dani Daniels and Gina Devine for the weekend for that amount.
Does your friend need any more investors?
I'd start my own landscaping business...Come on Doug, give me the $50k and I'll bring you a check every month.
I can't think of a faster way to lose a friend. Is he married? Maybe you could bang his wife instead. It'd be cheaper.I was recently in that position and decided to invest in a Friends startup It might pay off big time but if it doesn't it will at least be an interesting ride
Be aware that creating customers from contacts made while at your current employer could open you up to lawsuits. No, but seriously though, I've been talking to my grandpa about a loan to start my own full service landscaping business. I'd need a lot more than $50k though. A spray truck alone is about $80k brand new, plus all of the other equipment and trailers and stuff. I have enough contacts that I could get a pretty good customer base fairly quickly and several people willing to work.
Not a real risk in GA unless you have an air tight contract and a former employer with deep pockets. Non compete agreements and such are virtually unenforceable.Be aware that creating customers from contacts made while at your current employer could open you up to lawsuits.
