They're the cat's pajamas for canyon hunting elk. A word of advice, get a brake on that bad boy though. I've shot them with and without the brake, and without..even with that awesome recoil pad it's absolutely vicious.
I got the chance to shoot a .308 Warbird the same day in a Sako/Lazzeroni rifle. Take a peek at the ballistics on that one too.

Never heard of the warbird before. Pretty cool. I have been wanting this Weatherby for a while now.

That's pretty sweet. I have yet to delve deeply into the wildcat/oddball cartridges.
