I have a pretty good friend who is a gunsmith that said he will help me. Ar's are a piece of cake but I'm thinking there is more to an ak.

I think so too since there is bending and drilling involved.

Ill probably wait for the PSA one to get more available.

Just buy a prebent receiver. There only like 60-70 bucks.

what else would I need? Im pretty mechanically competent so assembling shouldnt be too much trouble.

Just don't shoot 265 rounds extremely fast or your barrel may droop.

This makes me want to shoot the ak now. Sucks I have to go to the outdoor range to shoot though. Maybe I can spare some time this weekend. That was some good shooting though.
