So I sold my 1911 and I have some cash. I can't decide between a VP9 or a G19.

I love the HK but its a couple hundred bucks more expensive and mags are more expensive.

Here is how I see it

G19- 400 bucks with 3 mags and the benefit of cheap and easy to find accessories.

VP9- 550+ with two mags and more expensive everything.

I really like the HK but I'm having trouble getting past the cost difference.

Y'all talk me into one or the other.

VP9...next question

Seriously either a VP9 or PPQ...they are both world ahead of any Glock.

VP9 for sure. Like Art said, both > Glock.

@Laufen have you seen some of the issues people are having with the trigger bat spring on the VP9? This sends to be the one weak spot and potential failure point for an otherwise rugged piece of hardware.

If I can find one for 550ish near me I'll pick up a VP9. Otherwise it looks like it will be a G19.

600+ like some places around here want blows my gun budget too much.

I've never shot the VP9, but it looks awesome. However I'm a Glock guy. So my answer is always get a Glock.

Glocks have always done me right. So I won't he disappointed if I end up with one. Might try and snag a OD or FDE one if I can find a deal. Or maybe one with the factory threaded barrel.

Honestly, it depends on the purpose of the firearm. If it's a beater G19... if you casually carry in VP9.

Due to some suprise baby expenses im going to have to go with a G19. but a VP9 is on the list for down the road.

Right now, i just cant afford a VP9 and all the stuff needed to carry it the way I want. I do appreciate all the advice though.

now if they would make a long slide VP9, I would really be happy.
