Vet vs Flag Disgracers at Valdosta State

So everyone has seen the story or video probably by now of Michelle Manhart, an Air Force vet arrested as she takes the flag from the protestors who were walking all over the over it.

While I agree with her and would've done the same thing, I think it's somewhat hypocritical that she uses it as a prop in a playboy spread. She is smokin hot though.

Given that she's posed for Playboy, I'd say it's entirely the former over the latter.

I think I read somewhere that she regretted the use of the flag in her photo shoot and feels bad about it. Maybe she feels the need to try to make up for her own transgressions?

Or maybe she's an attention whore.

She was my Base Defense Instructor during boot camp. There were rumors flying around that she was posing for Playboy back then. She was always telling us about how she loves Facebook because she meets so many new people and loves to go out and party...She was downright flirty with a few of us in class...then we went out for field exercises and holy shit did she turn in to a pit bull.

She was on 106.7 this morning talking about it....one of her main concerns in the event was that the flag was on the ground. I'd say something about the pot and the kettle but then lax would correct me and tell me how I'm using the phrase incorrectly.

I'm sure I'm in the minority, but I see the flag as nothing more than a textile. Yes, I understand that it "represents" different things to different people, but suggesting that people fought for a flag is disingenuous. They (maybe) fought for the thing it represents, not the actual flag itself. Symbols themselves hold no special place in my heart, some of the things they represent may.

She brought her daughter with her to film it. It is 100% about publicity. You should have heard her reasoning for the pics she did in 2007. It was priceless. She is just as bad as the others IMO. Either way, freedom of speech is protected, especially the speech we disagree with.
