No. @DarthVader did a Stand up thing and talked to his contact at Sionics and told them I was going out the door rather soon.
So they pulled the first barrel off the line and sent it out.

Just got it put together and pinned to a temporary Lower.
Got my barrel in on Wednesday and wasted no time putting it together. Took it to the range Thursday to sight in and ran around 60 rounds through it with no issue, with can on and off. Currently running a Sandman S while my IA Grunt mini is pending. Ran it on a pistol lower with a carbine buffer and a registered SBR lower with Troy tomahawk stock. No issues on either lower.
Until the Noveske lower is registered.
I've never seen one that they milled the markings off of before.
I'm using one of the Strike Industries covers for now. It doesn't snap in as positive as a standard cover, so I'll probably put the original BCM back on at some point.
Seems that all the newer Uppers have just the cross.

They used to just mark them with the iron cross roll mark. Then they started laser engraving Noveske. Not sure what they're doing these days. But it looks like yours was lasered and then had it milled off and re-stamped with the cross. See the mill mark above the fwd assist?
Yeah, I see the mill marks but I've noticed those on a few non-chainsaw uppers I've found a cross the web too. So idk....
Interesting. I haven't kept up with Noveske in the last couple of years, so I have probably just not noticed.
