TLR-6 Help

hey everyone,
I have a TLR-6 on my Glock 43.
I would like to take it off but I cannot find the hex tool it came with. I tried looking online but my google fo failed me because the google results I'm getting are less than helpful.
Can I buy another little wrench? If so where?
Somewhere does it say what size it is so I can maybe buy it off Amazon?

Those usually come in a set with a bunch of sizes. Home Depot will sell them. I'm not sure if it's standard or metric though

Was trying to see if I could skip the step where I have to take out my handgun to see if I have the right size-shape.
But that might be the simplest at this point.

Looks like either a 1.25 metric or a .050 standard Allen wrench is what you need. Probably .050 standard. Just my guess. I have several lying around if you need one.

By the way, are you getting rid of the TLR6 or just cleaning it?

I'm trying to decide which way I like it better. Trying to do training with both. I have holsters for with and with out.

I hear ya. I carry a Streamlight Protac 1L-1aa so I can use it independently without freaking everyone out. But I've been debating on getting a TLR6 as well because, why the hell not. Redundancy is always a good thing.

I love my tlr-6. It has its downsides but I love being able to have a weapon mounted light on my carry gun.

Just pick up a small set of Allen wrenches. I got these Dewalt Swiss army style ones at Home Depot. One for standard one for metric and now I don't have to fumble through a pile trying to find the right size, If I still have the right size.

Was trying to see if I could skip the step where I have to take out my handgun to see if I have the right size-shape.
But that might be the simplest at this point.

I had to do this EXACT same thing. I just took the slide off and mag out then wrapped the frame in a little bit of blue painters tape. Walked right into home depot and no one had any idea.

Have you tried emailing streamlight? I bet they'd send you a new one for free. Probably send you some stickers and some other swag along with it too.

I emailed them about my edc pro-tac that quit working 31 days after I got it(Amazon has a 30 day return window) they told me to take it to one of their authorized locations for repair OR and gave me steps to get approval to ship it to them. On my dime. I got this one to replace one just like it that was stolen and I'll get it replaced I'm sure, but I'm not at all impressed with their customer service so far.

I try to keep these in the range bag ya never know when it'll happen but you will need it one day. Always can use a set of allen wrenches these keep me from loosing the smaller ones

Streetlight isn't sending anybody anything for free, that much is certain.

That's been my experience. Luckily the only time I've had to contact them was for missing Allen key for my TLR-6. For the price I still buy streamliner stuff because I haven't had any other problems from any of the other lights I've had (at least 10). I'd love to use all surefire lights but they cost too damn much and they are slow to keep up with technology.

You might have already purchased your replacement Allen wrench but this might help someone else. I lost mine at the range and just bought this kit at Walmart. It has 2 tools that will unscrew and adjust the laser.
