Ordered a hub adapter and what I need to mount the brake caliper today. Just need a 180mm disc and a stem to be usable with the current 26" wheel...

Kinda feel like you’re gonna Bubba your bike more than Bubba fucks an ak or ar.
Are you so tall you need 29 inch wheels?
I bought a trek years ago and adapted to what it was.

Ok seriously I’m done messing with you.

Educate me. I haven’t been on a bike in 10plus years, so I don’t know what’s out there.

29" wheels are pretty much the standard these days, they're easier to roll over shit because they're bigger. The 69er concept gives you the easier obstacle clearance of a 29 in the front and the better torque/spinup in the rear with the 26. It'll also give me a little higher bottom bracket height

I wonder what’s on my 1997 model trek.
I don’t wonder Enough to go out and pull 10 years worth of shit off of it to measure though.

What I'm doing somewhat analogous to slapping a few G's worth of glass on a really clean old 98K.
When I'm done, it'll do 98% of what a modern bike will do, but it'll be weird as fuck and make people question my sanity...I'm basically going @Leadhoof on my bike...
