I'm being 100% sincere when I say this. I don't like that band. It looks cheap. That watch is better than that. So, here's how it looks when you're about to put it on, unlatched

Here's the slider that the hook latches to, moving this adjust size/tension

And here's how it would latch together while worn

Looking at the pictures again, it looks better in person.I'm being 100% sincere when I say this. I don't like that band. It looks cheap. That watch is better than that.
It's interesting, and I like the lumed pinstripe. I'm not sure if I would like the elastic band as much as the heavy nylon NATO/Zulu straps. Honestly, I wouldn't mind trying one, but I'll wait until I can find a cheaper knockoff. So, here's how it looks when you're about to put it on, unlatched

I've been wearing this almost daily. It's interesting, and I like the lumed pinstripe. I'm not sure if I would like the elastic band as much as the heavy nylon NATO/Zulu straps. Honestly, I wouldn't mind trying one, but I'll wait until I can find a cheaper knockoff.
I lost my original model a few years ago. This is the modern version, nice because it is unchanged in it's style, but is solar powered and auto syncs with the atomic clock radio signal. Is that vintage or a modern tribute to OG style? Either way, I like it.
I should add - Casio still sells the original model DW5600 for around $40. This updated version is the DW5610 and costs around $80.Is that vintage or a modern tribute to OG style? Either way, I like it.
Solid watch, good value with useful features.
Probably a good choice for the short term. You'll likely be the only one to know the difference.Ugh, tuition is bullshit......
I want to drop the $$ on a factory bracelet for the black bay, but that would take a huge chunk out of my tuition fund.
I'm thinking about getting one of the strapcode bracelets. They look pretty good in pics, have proper, model specific, endlinks, and cost a fraction of OEM.
A big part of what makes a bracelet work is the "machined from one chunk of metal" look. I think it would look good in two tone if the center links were black and the rest brushed stainless, but the all black doesn't work (at least for me). Black works better with leather, rubber, or canvas. Not sure how I feel about the black bracelet....whadda y'all think View attachment 50663
