Good news from the AP on another win by the people against the gun grabbers, who would disarm us all.

I go along with the NRA which supports meaningful efforts to address the problems of violent crime and mass violence in America, through swift and certain prosecution of violent criminals; securing our schools; and fixing our broken mental health system.

Great news from a "Left Coast" resident. Hope some of this common sense works it's way South about 200 miles to the Oregon Capital, where the "Left" has some outlandish bills proposed before the "D" controlled legislature in Salem. Our own Dianne Feinstein imitator, Sen Ginny Burdick, was actually seen on the Rev. Sharpton's MSNBC show this week. Pathetic is all I can say about this lady! Yogi :-[

The "D" Party needs to be reminded what happened in 1994 when they and some RINOs passed the original AWB. Keep writing, emailing or calling, but let them know where you stand. Us folks in "Fly Over Country" between the coasts aren't going to allow ourselves to be legislated into becoming victims of crime.

Folks who think that you can keep politics out of any discussion of the 2nd Amendment should have woken up by now. I woke up in 1993 when the first go around started and joined the NRA. Two things that are really hard on guns. Rust & Politicians. I've always looked at the NRA as necessary insurance, rust I can deal with on my one.

The massive e-mail blitz here in Oregon has some "D's" backing off already. We are a very Rural state except for Portland, Salem & Eugene on the I-5 corridor, which means many many gun enthusiasts throughout the state. It's been tough to see this once conservative state totally flip to the Liberal/Whacko spectrum during my lifetime. Idaho or Wyoming or Utah or Texas look very appealing for a post retirement move, that's for sure! Your views are enthusiastically supported by many here in Oregon (including myself), just hope it's enough! Yogi :-[

WA State is divided E/W by the Cascade Mountains into majority Conservative, pro-gun and majority Liberal, anti-gun populations, respectively. This was pretty much a party line issue.

What is it about proximity to salt water that causes liberal brain rot?
