The NRA bused some folks into Connecticut to spread the word. We, the People need to let these politicians know where we stand on this issue. Enforce the existing laws. We don't need a new version of Feinstein's Federal Assault Weapons Ban of 1994 in 2013. Registration and records lead to confiscation which is their not so secret agenda.

Colt, based in Connecticut since the 1800s, employs roughly 900 people in the state. Two other major gun companies, Sturm, Ruger & Company and Mossberg & Sons, are also based in the state. In all, the industry employs about 2,000 people in Connecticut.

S&W is in Springfield, Massachusetts.

S&W is among manufacturers who have told their State Governments they would pack up and move to more friendlier states, if things get crazy. These guys aren't bluffing and certain politicians had better wake up. Meanwhile politicians in South Carolina and other states haven't been shy in inviting them to come on down. Magpul and Remington got the same invitations.

We have FN, Palmetto State Armory, Jarrett and several other companies who favor our state with their presence.

Thank you Slowhand. I have always been in amazement that these major American businesses are HQed in such seemingly anti states. I wonder if they're union. What a conflict.

Unfortunately that's where they got started and when they start talking about leaving they aren't bluffing.

Hopefully, if the Media is to be believed things are starting to calm down as cooler heads prevail. There's Milllions of dollars in revenue involved and I have little doubt that the telephones have been ringing. Money talks, especially when it involves losing it. So we shall see how it goes.

I thought Ruger was based in Arizona for Pistols.
Ruger is head quartered in Southport, Connecticut where it started. They have plants in Newport, New Hampshire, and Prescott, Arizona.

Based upon the ones that I own. Ruger LCPs, LC9s, LC380s, Ruger Mark IIIs and SR 1911s come from Prescott. Ruger Super Redhawk Alaskans, New Single Six's and SP-101s come out of Newport. They move things around

I sent my LCR to Conn. for the repair a couple of months ago.

There you go. The good folks in Connecticut might just miss out on some employment and additional revenues if Ruger packs it in. Meanwhile those politicians on both sides who put out some alligator tears and played the blame game should pay for it in 2014.
