Ok, busted out one of the Tisas Zig 1911 Ms today. Cleaned the barrel and took 100 Winchester white box 230 JHP. Yeah, I thought I grabbed hard ball, but, oh well, go for it, right? 8+1 first mag failed to go completely into battery on the last round. OK, second mag did the same thing on the next to last 8+1 mag. Alrighty then. Ran the rest of the first box, 8+1, just fine and had a range rat friend also run a mag. Accurate and easy to manipulate except I got bit in the webbing of my hand and I'd seen enough with the 1 box to feel it's a winner. My range rat friend also liked it and said maybe get an 18 lb spring, maybe not, shoot some more and see how it goes.

Over all, happy as heck. Once this gun got hot, she ran just fine. Grease was running out from everywhere and I know you should always clean a new gun, etc, didn't happen on this grab and run to the range day. I even had to wash my face and hands after shooting, it was something!

I'll revisit this range report with a clean Tisas, clean mags and 230 gr. hard ball

We did have a good time except for there weren't many shooters and everyone was going on about the lack of ammo. The range officer is worried about his job for crying out loud. They made $170 today.

Great video Vert! If the .45 continues to bite ya, just put a small piece of tape or a bandaid on the web of your shootin' hand. I do that for a first year of production (1912) Colt that rubs the skin off of the webbing on my right hand after about 50 rounds.

Good to know Sarge. That first shop scraped off the old scab and the third drew new blood. Ouch!

Feels real good when you get Gun Scrubber or Hoppes No. 9 on it too!
