Gas powered 318 V8. At idle it sounds like Harley saying potato potato potato. She no speed demon but sure is a lot of fun. We have a 19' deck boat for going fast.

Largemouth bass and a blue catfish. Other than guns, I have a fairly serious catfishing obsession.

That reminds me of the joke about "what is the difference between a catfish and a lawyer?"

I had to look up the punch line for that one and must say that I agree with it. However, we won't print it here..... ::)

Many years ago I was in a fishing club with a group of guys from the same employer. My neighbor across the street had a bass boat and worked there too. A group of us got together and went to Lake Amistad in Del Rio Texas and rented a 45 foot houseboat for a week. We towed three bass boats with the houseboat. We had a blast! That lake is a very large lake and covers into Texas and Mexico, we never went to the Mexican side.

What is better than having a boat? A friend with a boat!

My brother-in-law tells me that boat stands for "break out another thousand".

Even though the spelling doesn't work, the very same thing applies to a lot of our hobbies. :p

Spelling?
I think Skip means something to the effect of "I think I need to boat for that new stainless 1911 at my LGS". ;D

I was going to rent a houseboat a couple of years ago and the rental price was rediculous! So I checked on slip fees for a houseboat the size I would want and it was less than 1/2 of a 1 week rental. Using my twisted logic, I thought I am just going to buy an old houseboat and fix it up. Then for less than 1/2 of the rental fee I will use it all year. If I don't like it or think it is too much work I will sell it. Seemed like a reasonable plan to me. Well, here we are a couple years in and completely obsessed with the houseboat thing. Are they a lot of work? Yes. But what could be better than a nice night under the stars in a camper? Answer: A nice night under the stars in a floating camper.
